As if RuPaul didn’t already have enough jobs, now comes word that he has nabbed yet another television gig.
The multiple Emmy winner is set to reboot the long-running game show Lingo later this year on CBS.
According to Deadline, contestants will face off in puzzle rounds where they will guess letters to figure out a word. Each episode will end with a cash prize. The first iteration of the show aired back in 1987.
“We’re all ready to have fun again, and Lingo is the answer,” Charles said in a release.
Charles, who is expected to appear out of drag, will serve as executive producer in addition to hosting.
I actually liked the short-lived game show on Logo, and it’s clear that Mamaru does love her game shows. Only time will tell if people take to this show on CBS, or if it would be better off on Paramount+.
