She may be done with zombies and the Umbrella Corporation, but it looks like Milla Jovovich isn’t done battling monsters.

The action star has teamed up with her husband writer/director Paul W. S. Anderson once again on another video game-based film called Monster Hunter.

The synopsis reads as follows:

“Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When an unexpected sandstorm transports Lt. Natalie Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her unit (TI, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta) to a new world, the soldiers are shocked to discover that this hostile and unknown environment is home to enormous and terrifying monsters immune to their firepower. In their desperate battle for survival, the unit encounters the mysterious Hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique skills allow him to stay one step ahead of the powerful creatures. As Artemis and Hunter slowly build trust, she discovers that he is part of a team led by the Admiral (Ron Perlman). Facing a danger so great it could threaten to destroy their world, the brave warriors combine their unique abilities to band together for the ultimate showdown.”

The film was supposed to be released last month, but due to COVID, it was pushed to April, 2021. The teaser says it’s coming out in December, but is now optimistically assuring us it’ll be “only in theatres” this December.

As for the trailer, it doesn’t offer enough for us to sink our teeth into, not even a glimpse of Tony Jaa. If they wan to get people excited for this film (meaning, the fans who actually like the Resident Evil movies), they need to give us a much longer trailer.

Anyways, check out the teaser below…
