THE BATMAN PUSHED TO OCTOBER, 2021

Before Miss Rona wrecked havoc on all of our lives and throughput the entertainment industry, Matt Reeves’ The Batman, with Robert Pattinson stepping up as the Caped Crusader was six weeks into filming in Ireland and the UK for a Summer, 2021 release.

Now Warner Bros. is announcing that they have pushed The Batman from June 25 to October 1, 2021. In addition to The Batman, the WB also revealed that Shazam 2 with Zachary Levi reprising the title role has been pushed frm April 1, 2022 to November 4, 2022.

And the long-awaited (and long overdue) solo film for The Flash with Ezra Miller reprising his role in the Justice League film and his cameo in the Arrow Crisis episode was originally slated for release on July 1, 2022, but has been moved up to June 3, 2022

Since there are rumors that The Batman takes inspiration from The Long Halloween comic, I think moving it to October is a good decision. I just hope it won’t be up against Halloween Ends, the third chapter in the David Gordon Green Halloween trilogy that’s supposed to film this year to be released in October of next year.

Now I’m just waiting to hear an announcement on a release date shuffle of Matrix 4 (which was a month into shooting in San Francisco, but shut down as they were about to begin filming in Berlin) and John Wick 4, which was to begin filming when Keanu Reeves was done filming Matrix 4.
