DC took over Hall H this morning with a new trailer and panel for Shazam (which I wrote about in a previous post).
Shortly after, the panel shifts to Black Adam (who in the comics is an antagonist to Shazam), where director Jaume Collett-Serra (Jungle Cruise), and actors Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, and Quintessa Swindell appeared to discuss the film and premiere a new trailer.
In the trailer, we see Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam face off against members of the Justice Society, and has to make a decision: Will he be a destroyer of the world or save it?
I'm sure with Warner Bros. looking at Black Adam as a franchise they would like to build for years to come, Johnson will choose the latter.
In addition to Johnson, the cast of the upcoming film includes Quintessa Swindell as red Tornado, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, and Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz. Other cast members include Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui, Mo Amer, and Uli Latukefu, whose roles have currently not yet been revealed. Along with starring as the titular Black Adam, Johnson also served as an executive producer on the film, joining Walter Hamada, Eric McLeod, and Scott Sheldon.
Black Adam is scheduled to premiere in theaters on October 21.
