Falcon becomes a Winter Soldier of sorts in the trailer for the new Netflix actioner, Outside The Wire.
In the new film, which was produced by the same people who brought us Netflix actioners Extraction and The Old Guard, Harp (Damson Idris) is a US drone operator sent to a border regiment as punishment for insubordination.
He meets commanding officer Leo (Anthony Mackie), a human/robot/AI hybrid with super-soldier abilities. The two embark on a dangerous mission into the demilitarized zone to prevent a notorious warlord from sparking Armageddon via dormant nuclear weapons.
As far as the trailer goes, I didn’t see anything original throughout, so based on what I’m seeing, I’m sure it will be a mindless popcorn movie filled with high octane action, explosions, and Wickian-esque, hand-to-hand combat.
Outside the Wire, which was directed by Mikael Håfström drops on Netflix January 15.
