Trailer Trash:Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts

Paramount has unleashed the trailer for Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts, and I have to say I'm quite impressed.

The seventh installment in the franchise features a new cast of characters including my boo Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, and will feature Maximals, Predicons, and Terrorcons.

Ramos plays Noah, an ex-military electronics expert who lives with and supports his family in Brooklyn, while Fishback plays Elena, an artifact researcher at a museum. Peter Cullen, who has lent his voice to Autobots leader Optimus Prime throughout the franchise’s run, will reprise his role as the film centers on Optimus in 1990s Brooklyn and is inspired by the franchise’s “Beast Wars” storyline.

Additional cast members include Peter Dinklage (as the voice of Scourge), Liza Koshy (as the voice of Arcee), John DiMaggio (as the voice of Stratosphere), David Sobolov (as Rhinox/Battletrap), Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (as Nightbird), Cristo Fernández (as Wheeljack), and Tobe Nwigwe (as Reek), Michelle Yeoh (as Airazor), Pete Davidson (as Mirage), Peter Cullen (as Optimus Prime) and Ron Perlman (Optimus Primal).

As I stated before I didn't know what to expect because I only liked the first Transformers film and Bumblebee.

I'm just glad Michael Bay isn't behind the lens because even though I am a fan of the first film, I felt the franchise went downhill from there with the corny jokes and racial stereotypes regarding some of the bots.

Directed by Stephen Caple Jr. (Creed II), Transformers: Rise of The Beasts rolls out into theaters on June 9, 2023.
