The Bravo powerhouse, 57, spoke out on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live on Thursday, Feb. 5, for the first time since news broke that Luann de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan — who were all original cast members on RHONY’s early seasons — are returning to reality TV on another network.
“I’m so excited for them,” Cohen said. “I texted the ladies yesterday. I think it’s gonna be a great show. I could never root against these women. I absolutely love them. I love them together — so does America. I’m gonna speak for America.”
“I think it’s gonna be great, and I can’t wait to watch, and I’m happy for them,” he continued.

The new show, with the working title The Golden Life, is set to begin filming in the spring and will follow the “iconic” friend group as they trade in the Big Apple for Palm Beach, Florida, per the official press release.
“I believe Jill, Sonja and Ramona live in Florida, so that’s where they really are,” Cohen noted. “So I think it’ll be great. If you watch The Ultimate Girls Trip that they all did, it was really fun.”
In 2023, Bensimon, de Lesseps, Morgan and Singer joined Dorinda Medley and Kristen Taekman for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, which saw the women travel to St. Barts as an homage to the iconic cast trip in RHONY’s fifth season.
“That felt like kind of a series finale in a weird way,” the Watch What Happens Live host added. “They kind of wrapped it all up, but now they're embarking on a new era, new lives. So I wish them well, and I’m happy for the fans who wanted to see this, and I’m happy for them.”

On Tuesday, Feb. 3, E! announced The Golden Life’s 10-episode debut season, which the release said fans can expect to be “sun-soaked with a sliver of shade.”
“Bound by decades of shared history, fallouts and friendship, this fan-favorite group of New Yorkers are starting fresh together in the Sunshine State,” it read. “In this new 'golden' era of life, the longtime friends are thriving in and around Palm Beach with fabulous second homes and a bustling social scene.”
“With their signature humor and non-stop hijinks, the series will follow the group as they navigate dating, family, and career milestones,” the release concluded. “Though skies are bright in Florida, unresolved drama looms as they reconnect after years of highs and lows.”
The ladies also appeared in a video on E!’s official Instagram page celebrating the news, which comes four years after Bravo rebooted RHONY in 2022. Its 14th season included a whole new cast of Housewives after a controversial and low-rated season 13.
De Lesseps, Singer and Zarin were all part of RHONY’s inaugural season in 2008. Bensimon then joined in season 2, and Sonja entered in season 3.
