Are Bob The Drag Queen and Monét X Change Really Feuding After Ginger Minj Drama?

Are the siblings in a real life rivalry, because Monét X Change, and she has something to say regarding Bob The Drag Queen's recent video regarding her comments on Monét's interview with Ginger Minj.

It might look like Bob The Drag Queen and Monét X Change are in the midst of an increasingly bitter feud, but we’re not convinced – and many others aren’t either.

It all stems from the recent drama surrounding RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 winner, Ginger Minj. Her win has been nothing if not controversial and, in the time since, Ginger’s found herself the subject of more allegations.

At the end of last year, Ginger was called out for supposedly contradicting herself when it came to how she was approached about doing All Stars 10, as well as over comments she made about who in the cast supported her.

That led to numerous Drag Race girls coming for Ginger, as well as members of the fandom compiling instances when various Ru-girls criticised Ginger for “lying” and making up stories.

During her press tour, Ginger stopped by Monét’s YouTube series, Monét Talks, in which the two drag queens got into some of the drama. One thing they touched on was the apparently “one sided” beef between Ginger and Bob The Drag Queen.

This then prompted Bob to respond in her own video earlier this month, “Bob The Drag Queen Responds to Ginger Minj’s Press Tour”. In the video, Bob claimed not to be a liar and repeatedly called out Monét, her close friend and Sibling Rivalry co-host, for lying and being a “fake a** b****”.

As a result, Monét posted her own reaction video on Monday (19 January) in which she called out Bob in return for bringing her up. The 20-minute video, “Monét Reacts To Bob the Drag Queen’s “Ginger Minj” Video!”, sees Monét counter some of Bob’s claims.

Both videos are fairly light-hearted, neither drag queen seems terribly upset. Whilst there’s a level of frustration from both, knowing how close Bob and Monét are, it’s basically like watching two siblings bicker, or, some may say, have a bit of sibling rivalry…

And we know there’s genuine love there. They both refer to each other as their “best friend”.

Also, the two are still recording episodes of Sibling Rivalry together and reacting to Drag Race season 18. So, they’re clearly getting along well enough to work together.

A preview clip from Monét and Bob’s next Sibling Rivalry episode shows the two going back and forth, again much like siblings. This not only proves the pair are still friends and working together, but getting along as they always have.

Also, these are drag queens – drama is expected!

And we’re not the only ones not taken in by any of this. “This is the fake drama I live for,” wrote one fan under Monét’s video. “I cannot handle this non-drama!!” added another while someone else put: “We’re all in on this faux drama.”

Others joined in on the laughs with one person saying: “I need Trixie [Mattel] and Katya to do a Queens Who Like to Watch on this whole issue.”

One fan wrote: “This is such nothing tea and I’m obsessed,” on Bob’s video. Another fan commented: “This is the funniest thing ever.”

And from a cynical perspective, the pair could just be using this “faux drama” to promote themselves and their upcoming projects, tours, and so on.

Ultimately though, we’re sure things are fine between the two queens and we can expect more glorious entertainment from both for many years to come.
