Bob The Drag Queen and Monét X Change Spill the Tea on Their ‘Worst’ Pit Stop Guests: ‘This B**ch…’

ree

If you’re a fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race, we’re all lucky enough to be spoiled by podcasts coming from the best and funniest queens in the franchise. We’ve got Willam and Alaska killing it on one side, Trixie and Katya’s The Bald and the Beautiful on the other and of course the iconic Sibling Rivalry by Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change. Bob and Monét have made their watcherys such an essential part of the Drag Race culture that it’s hard to imagine a landscape without it – and it’s extra boosted by the fact they’re both winners and have both also hosted The Pit Stop. Now, on their podcast, Bob and Monét just dished which Drag Race queens were the worst guests the pair have worked with when hosting, and it’s brutal.

The internet is constantly swirling with rumours of which RuGirls are difficult to work with. Many of these assumptions have been written off as internet lore. Others have been confirmed by queens on talk shows, podcasts or panels at RuPaul’s DragCon throughout the years.

In an episode of Sibling Rivalry, Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change spilled the tea on the most difficult and enjoyable guests they’ve had while hosting The Pit Stop, the official RuCap series of RuPaul’s Drag Race. And let’s just say their answers aren’t that surprising.

Who was The Pit Stop’s most difficult guest?

Before Monét could ask Bob for her most difficult guest, the season eight winner blurted Vanessa Vanjie Mateo (season 10, 11 and All Stars 9). “She was driving me absolutely insane,” Bob said, admitting she couldn’t hide how annoyed she was on set. “I think it comes across in the episode.” At one point during filming, Bob told Vanjie “you have to answer at least one of these questions.”

“You literally called me leaving set because of how upset you were,” Monét said, recalling how Bob phoned her after filming the episode. The All Stars 4 winner agreed the tension came across in the episode.

When it was Monét’s turn to answer, the queen said Daya Betty (season 14 and All Stars 10). While Daya constantly gets the villain edit, Monét explained it wasn’t her attitude. “We did get along,” Monét told Bob, saying the difficult part was having to reshoot parts of the episode because her wig kept bleeding. “This bitch, that wig she wore, she decided to dye it the night before and then she’s on set wearing a fucking fur coat….So y’all we had to restart the episode about four times.”

In the episode, an annoyed Monét even pokes fun at her bleeding wig. “That’s why I make that joke about her wig bleeding down the side of her head. It was like the fourth time we had to restart the episode.”

Which RuGirls were the easiest to work with?

When it came to revealing which guests were the easiest and most enjoyable, Bob and Monét agreed they couldn’t pick each other. “We have to leave each other out of it,” Monét said.

Bob picked her sister Thorgy Thor (season 8 and All Stars 3) saying they “always cut up and have fun.” Monét served some shade in response saying Thorgy is a good guest for Bob, but questioned if she was for everybody else. Bob also revealed Willow Pill (season 14) was really funny to work with.

BenDelaCreme (season 6 and All Star 3) was Monét’s choice, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to fans. She also admitted Plastique Tiara (season 11 and All Stars 9) was fun to work with. “Plastique was so wild!” Monét shared with Bob.

Who were Trixie and Bianca’s most difficult guests?

Trixie Mattel and Bianca Del Rio have never publicly revealed their most difficult guests while hosting The Pit Stop. Even though they haven’t, fans have shared their opinions on the “Best/Worst Pit Stop Guests” Reddit thread.

Many have called Trixie’s interview with Priyanka (Canada’s Drag Race season 1) the most enjoyable. Other fan approved appearances throughout the seasons include Luxx Noir London (season 15), Peppermint (season 9), Shea Couleé (season 9, All Stars 5 and All Stars 7) and Violet Chachki (season 7).

For the worst guest, many have dragged Jinkx Monsoon’s appearance with Bianca. Fans have said the queen was “zooted” – or intoxicated as the kids say – during the episode. “Honestly, I had a head cold that day, and I was so doped up on Dayquil,” the two-time winner told Entertainment Weekly about the criticism.
