Cardi B Confirms That She Had Her Butt Injections Reduced and Explains Why

Cardi B is responding to claims that she had her butt injections dissolved.

“A lot of y’all keep telling me to go get my ass reduced,” she said in a recent Instagram Live session, per PEOPLE. “I don’t need to go get my ass reduced. News flash, I did get my ass reduced.”

The “Up” artist, who’s 33, received biopolymer injections at 21. But she underwent surgery in January 2024 to make them smaller.

She commented that she “can’t just go and lipo my butt because my skin is like kinda loose,” which is “why my ass shakes so much.”

Undergoing liposuction, she continued, would make her butt “drop.”

There’s another drawback to it, too.

“So I would have to cut myself,” Cardi B said. “And I’m not cutting myself. I’m not sitting down for four months. I’m outside, like I said. I like my body how it looks right now. I’m comfortable in my skin.”

Overall, Cardi B, whose official name is Belcalis Almánzar, said she “got two lipos and one ass reduction.”

She attributed the latter to her stature: “I am a small girl. I’m a very small, petite girl. My mom is petite. My sister’s petite. My aunts are small.”

She said earlier this year that she had dropped a plan to travel to Colombia to have her backside made smaller.

“I was saying that, but I’m not gonna do it,” she said on Today on March 24. “I was just gonna take a little bit of butt out, but I don’t have time for that.”

She also noted then that she was “really comfortable” with her body.

The Grammy winner has four young children, including three with estranged husband Offset and one with NFL star Stefon Diggs.

On her social media post, she said, “what I do so I could look snatched.”

Her daily regimen consists of eating grilled salmon and chicken, as well as drinking beverages with fiber.
