Former Legendary judge and fashion architect Law Roach, who has dressed the likes of Zendaya, Celine Dion, Kerry Washington, Hunter Schafer, and most recently Megan Thee Stallion at the Vanity Fair Oscar party took to his Instagram to announce his retirement from the fashion industry on Tuesday.
Here's what he said:
“My Cup is empty….. thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years. Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all,” Law wrote.
“If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not!” he continued.
“The politics , the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out.”
Roach didn't specify exactly what caused him to come to this revelation, but word on the street is that the last straw was when he walked out of the Louis Vuitton fashion show after he was expecting to sit front row next to Zendaya. Video footage appeared online where you see Zendaya motioning for Law to sit behind her in the second row.
Then there was another incident where someone by the name of The Kimbino went to social media to accuse Law of cutting him out of an opportunity to style Bella Hadid in a Versace dress for the Cannes Film Festival back in 2022.
And here I thought regular folks dealt with their drama behind the scenes before going to social media to air out their grievances.
Kimbino did apologize for getting in her feelings, but Law had to let her and anyone else who tries him not to question their integrity.
I'll definitely keep you all updated on this story, because as someone who has presented themselves as having a thick skin and coming from Chicago, there has to be a major reason for Law to walk away from an industry he says he loves so much.
