According to TMZ, an onboard doctor attended to the 54-year-old actor after he began to feel sick. When the plane landed at LAX Airport, paramedics were waiting at the gate and rushed Feldman to a nearby hospital, where he remains. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed a 54-year-old man was transported for further evaluation and treatment.

Doctors believe Feldman's pain could be related to pancreatitis or gallstones, a source also told TMZ.

Entertainment Weekly reached out to representatives for Feldman, but did not receive a response before publication.

The former child star was in the Midwest over the weekend to participate in Stand by Me Live, an event featuring Feldman and his costars Jerry O'Connell and Wil Wheaton as they reflect on the 1986 coming-of-age film directed by Rob Reiner.

On June 13, the trio were in Indianapolis, followed by Chicago on June 14. According to a social media post by Feldman, due to "incredible turnouts" at both shows, "chances r very high" the trio may soon announce additional dates for Stand by Me Live.

On his way to Chicago from Indianapolis, the actor made a pit stop in Gary, Ind., the hometown of his late friend, Michael Jackson.

In March, Feldman opened up to Entertainment Weekly about being excluded from the 2026 Oscars tribute to Stand by Me director Reiner, who was murdered alongside his wife Michelle in December 2025, allegedly by their son Nick. Of the 17 actors from Reiner's projects who were invited to stand onstage, two were O'Connell and Wheaton.

"I think Jerry and Wil did what had to be done. It was a fleeting moment, so I don't feel like I missed much at all," Feldman said. "I personally was probably maybe a little bothered by the fact that nobody got to speak or do or say anything from their own heart. Although they did a wonderful job, I would've liked to have heard from Wil and Jerry and a few other people up there."

"Personally, it felt a little bit like a family reunion I wasn't invited to, but we're not going to use this time to go into my feeling about that," Feldman continued. "Instead I just want to say that I'm with the rest of us, we're all very destroyed that things went down the way they did, losing Rob when we all thought he'd be joining us at some point for this tour and it's a tragedy."
