The residency already had quite an advertisement, effectively, on Sunday night. Her Vegas announcement comes the morning after her farewell tour was featured in a two-hour CBS special, “A Grammy Salute to Cyndi Lauper: Live from the Hollywood Bowl.” (See Variety‘s review here: “Cyndi Lauper Enlists SZA, Cher and Joni Mitchell for an Unusual ‘Grammy Salute’ That Benefits as Much From Her Farewell-Tour Chatter as Her Famous Guests.”)
The network special was filmed on the last two nights of the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, which took place at the Hollywood Bowl Aug. 29-30. The tour began in October 2024.
Live Nation is calling her run in Las Vegas “an opportunity for fans who missed her Farewell Tour to celebrate one last time.”
Lauper will be highly visible in the meantime, with an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame taking place in Los Angeles on Nov. 8.
Prior to that, her stage musical adaptation of “Working Girl” starts up Oct. 28 at the La Jolla Playhouse, in advance of a planned Broadway run.
The dates going on sale this week are for April 24, 25 and 29 and May 1-2.
The general onsale for tickets to Lauper’s show is Friday at 10 a.m. PT. A presale for Citi cardmembers begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. PT. A fan club presale will begin Wednesday at the same time. Finally, Caesars Rewards members and Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers will have access to their own presale Thursday at 10.
