Chad Spodick, who starred in the gay reality series Finding Prince Charming, has passed away at the age of 42, according to a fundraiser on GoFundMe.

The aviation entrepreneur’s death was announced this week in a GoFundMe that was set up to help cover his funeral costs, as well as care for his mother and his pets. A cause of death was not announced.

“Our hearts are shattered as we share the devastating news of the loss of our beautiful, kind, and generous son, brother and friend Chad,” wrote friend Kate Werbowski on the page. “His passing was sudden and heartbreaking, and we are still struggling to comprehend a world without his light.

“Chad was the type of person who poured himself into others. He lifted up his friends, encouraged everyone around him to grow, to advocate for themselves, and to believe in their own worth. His love for animals was unmatched—he cared deeply for every creature, especially his four beloved dogs and his bird, Cosmo. The world was brighter with Chad in it, and those who were lucky enough to know him felt the warmth of his heart every day.”

Werbowski continued, “He leaves behind his mother, Felice, who is now faced not only with unimaginable grief but with the unexpected financial burden of funeral arrangements and ongoing living expenses. We are coming together as a community to support her and Chad’s animals during this incredibly painful time.”

Finding Prince Charming host Lance Bass paid tribute to Spodick on his Instagram Story. “I am truly heartbroken about the sudden passing of our friend, Chad,” he started.

“He was such a kind sweet soul who loved his friends, his family and his beloved pets so deeply, and I hope that’s how everyone else remembers him,” added Bass. ” Life should never be taken for granted so remember to be kind and check in on those you love because you never know what people are dealing with privately and tomorrow is never promised. Fly high my friend.”

In 2016, Spodick appeared on Logo’s Finding Prince Charming, a Bachelor-esque show in which 13 gay men vied for the heart of interior designer Robert Sepúlveda Jr. Spodick quit the show in Week 6.

Spodick was also a real estate agent and flight attendant who co-launched private aviation charter Goldsuite Jets in 2020.
