Kim Kardashian testified Tuesday against 10 people known as the “grandpa robbers,” who are accused of stealing jewelry worth $9 million at gunpoint in one of the most audacious celebrity heists in modern French history.

The “Kardashians” star said in court Monday that she feared she would be raped and fatally shot during the terrifying 2016 burglary.
“He grabs my legs and pulls me. I’m naked, and my everything is exposed. I was sure that I was going to be raped,” she said.
Kardashian, who arrived to the French courthouse dripping in diamonds, also testified that she thought her sister Kourtney Kardashian would return to the hotel to find “that I would be dead on the bed, shot dead, and that she should have this memory forever.”
“I absolutely thought I was going to die,” she replied to Judge David De Pas’ question about whether she feared for her life.

In March, reports surfaced that Kim, 44, would travel back to Paris to take the stand nearly a decade after she was bound and robbed at gunpoint in her room at the Hôtel de Pourtalès.
“Ms. Kardashian is reserving her testimony for the court and jury and does not wish to elaborate further at this time,” her lawyers said.
“She has great respect and admiration for the French justice system and has been treated with great respect by the French authorities.”
In October 2016, the mom of four traveled to the City of Light for Paris Fashion Week.
While she was in her hotel room, wearing nothing but a robe, gunmen who posed as cops entered her residence, gagged her and tied her up.

The robbers then left her in the bathtub before taking off with $10 million worth of jewelry, including the $4 million upgraded wedding ring the reality star received from her then-husband, Kanye West, earlier that year.
“They were yelling at me in French and I just sat up — and they kept on saying, ‘The ring. The ring,'” she recalled.
The Skims co-founder said she handed one of the robbers her diamond ring, then he “grabbed” her and pulled her towards him.

“I was like, ‘OK, this is the time I’m gonna get raped. Like, deal. This is gonna happen, just prepare yourself,’” she emotionally remembered.
“So, I did and then — I don’t know why I’m crying, I’ve talked about this before — and then he tied me up with handcuffs and zip-ties and then duct tape and duct-taped my mouth and my eyes.”
Kim begged for the robbers to let her live because she had minor children, her husband and her family at home.
After the robbers left, the billionaire mogul was able to break out of her bindings and get out of the hotel to find help.

She then spoke with Parisian investigators before speeding off in a police-escorted van to the Paris-Le Bourget Airport, where she boarded a private jet and left the country.
There were 10 individuals, including mastermind Yunis Abbas, who were charged in connection with the robbery, with police maintaining that the crime was an inside job.
In a 2022 interview, Abbas showed no remorse about the crimes, blaming Kim’s “showy” social media posts as motivation for the burglary.
