In a ploy to salvage what's left of his D list career, Mario Lopez wants you to believe that he is not a Trump Supporter.

After sharing a photo on Instagram at the White House ahead of the June 14 Freedom 250 fight with UFC CEO Dana White and being featured in an “Exposing Latino MAGA Artists” video, Lopez is speaking out about whether he supports Donald Trump.
“You need to get your facts straight,” Lopez said in a since-deleted Instagram comment, per Buzzfeed, in the comments section of the “Exposing Latino MAGA Artists” video. “I’ve interviewed Trump many times when he was on The Apprentice. And I didn’t attend the White House event. I was in DC shooting a PrimeTime special at the time for CBS celebrating a civics competition for kids.”
Lopez then addressed connecting with White ahead of the contentious UFC fight that took place on the White House lawn. “Dana White happens to be a friend of mine, so we got together while in town,” Lopez reportedly wrote. “Like I said, I’m not a political person. Too divisive. I could care less about politics. I care about my family, my community, my culture, and my faith.”
He concluded, “God bless you and have a nice day, but please don’t spread misinformation.”
Lopez’s aforementioned post with White ahead of the fight, reads: “In town working in DC and stopped by to visit my guy Dana White. Apparently he’s got a little event planned on the White House lawn this Sunday....”
A TikTok shared on June 10 marked the first time Lopez was asked about not going to the fight despite his friendship with White. “I’m in New York, man, I’m shooting a movie,” he said. When the reporter asked about Trump, Lopez said, “I’m not, I’m not....I don’t think anything.” The reporter continued to press, bringing up Spencer Pratt’s recent venture into politics, to which Lopez replied, “I don’t talk politics. It’s not my thing.”

Lopez never explicitly endorsed a political candidate. Ten years ago, in May 2016 during an interview with Trump for Extra TV, Lopez told then then-presidential candidate that he was “conservative.”
“I’m Latino, happen to also be conservative, a child of Mexican immigrants, and when you initially announced, you did so where some people thought there was some harsh rhetoric, maybe disappointed some Hispanics. How do you gain their support and trust?” he asked at the time.
Trump replied, “I know all about your heritage and respect it greatly. My relationship with Hispanics is fantastic. I know so many; so many are friends… they buy apartments from me… they rent apartments from me. I have so many employees that are Hispanic, they are incredible people and the way that people are going to love me is that I’m gonna produce jobs like nobody’s ever produced jobs. We’re gonna take our jobs back from China and we’re gonna take them back from Mexico. We’re gonna have tremendous jobs for Hispanics, for everybody.”
Entertainment Weekly contacted Lopez for comment and did not receive an immediate response.

Nice try Mario, but we can see through the BS. The fact that Trump isn't popular even among his base is why you're trying to distance yourself from being affiliated with him.
Clearly he puts capitalism before having any kind of morals, and nothing angers me more than fake Christians like him who will throw the terms "family" and "faith" around like it exonerates him from the accusations and observations.
Mario follows a number of conservative figures on Instagram, including Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and the official POTUS page for Trump; and there's a clip of a content creator showing Mario "leaving" the White House event after previously saying he hadn't attended.
The video also challenged Mario's claim that politics aren't his "thing." It shared an old clip of him talking with Trump and pointed out his so-called use of MAGA language, particularly on immigration. As an example, the creator posted a throwback interview where Mario, who was born in Chula Vista, California, to Mexican parents, said, "I'm first-generation. Happy to say they came here the right way."

Let's also not forget that Tanika Ray, who worked with Mario on Extra during multiple stints between 2004 and 2019, also weighed in after BuzzFeed posted about the drama on Instagram.
"Well I was his cohost and I can confirm this is true!!" Tanika wrote in the comments.
She added, "It's unfortunate but glad the truth is out maybe it will encourage him to think about it."
"But then again," she continued, "He's a capitalist first. Anyway. Happy Juneteenth!!"

Mario needs to remember that receipts don't lie, and when you try to deny things that you have said in the past, or have shown in your actions there will be a slueth on the interwebs ready to remind you of who you are.
