The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars winner announced she and longtime partner Andy Short got engaged in an adorable Instagram post on Wednesday.
“Locked in 💍👨🏼🤝👨🏾,” the 35-year-old wrote, alongside sweet pics of the two smooching, showing off their rings, and embracing in a sea of staged sunflowers.
Based on the photos, it looks like the floral-filled engagement went down at L.A. hotspot and flamenco club, El Cid Sunset.
According to his Instagram, it appears that Short, a personal trainer who also works with The Phoenix in “supporting sober active communities,” popped the question.
“My sweetie. Huge thank you to everyone who helped make this little surprise,” Short gushed in a post of his own, adding an extra thanks to his “new fiancé [for] agreeing to this.” LOL.
The acclaimed drag comedian and Short have been together for years, becoming “Instagram official” back in 2021 and walking the red carpet together at this year’s GLAAD Media Awards.
Naturally, much of Monét’s Drag Race family, including Gottmik, Peppermint, Denali, Kerri Colby, and Jimbo, hit up the comments section to celebrate.
“PRENUP!!!! PRENUP! PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENT,” Bianca Del Rio teased, while Trixie Mattel asked, “Can I be the third?”
Trinity the Tuck congratulated her “TWINNER” — a.k.a. “twin winner” — while Drag Race judge Michelle Visage offered an exclamatory “OMG CONGRATS!!!!!”
Of course, the best comment came from Monét’s Sibling Rivalry podcast co-host, Bob the Drag Queen, who wrote: “Wait what?!?!?!?”
Furthermore, it’s the cherry on top of what’s been a busy month for Monét.
Not only is the multi-hyphenate touring the country on her Road Werk Tour and competing on the upcoming fourth season of The Traitors, but she also revealed that she’s joining the Survivor family!
Monét was one of eight influencers, including LGBTQ+ TikTok cutie Davis Burleson, who were tapped to spend 36 hours on the island of Fiji for a special sped-up version of the reality show, premiering on Survivor‘s YouTube today.
Honestly, after surviving RuPaul, Jeff Probst, and Alan Cumming, marriage probably seems like a piece of cake.
Congrats, Monét and Andy!
