Pink denies Report She's Separating from Husband Carey Hart After 20 Years of Marriage

Pink has broken her silence on claims she has split from her husband of 20 years, Carey Hart.

Pink, a three-time Grammy-winning artist and one of the boldest voices of the 21st century, has plenty of topics the press can mull over that don’t involve her marital status.

On Thursday, Feb. 26, the singer-songwriter took to Instagram to address rumors that she had split from her husband, former motocross racer Carey Hart. “So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband,” said Pink. “I didn’t know. Thank you People magazine, thank you Us Weekly. Thank you for letting me know. I was wondering if you’d also like to tell our children. My 14-year-old and 9-year-old are also unaware.”

As an alternative to the fuss over her personal life, Pink pointed to more pressing matters: “Or do you want to talk about some real news? Do you want to talk about the Epstein files? Do you want to talk about systemic racism or misogyny in sports or how classy the women’s hockey team is or how eight of the 12 medals won in the Olympics this year for the U.S. were won by women?”

Pink, who has been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026, also proposed, “Or do you maybe want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock and Roll motherfucking Hall of Fame?” She continued, “Do you want to talk about my accomplishments? Or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?” After shutting down the relationship rumors as “fake news,” she added, “Trash news you can do better.”

The star has been nominated alongside Phil Collins, Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey, Oasis, Pink, the Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Melissa Etheridge, Billy Idol, INXS, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, New Edition, Sade, Shakira, Luther Vandross, and the Wu-Tang Clan. Inductees will be announced in April and the annual ceremony will take place in the fall.

Pink celebrated the news the day prior, writing on social media, “This nomination isn’t mine; it’s ours. It’s for every one of us who ever felt like an outsider or underdog and found something in this music that made them feel less alone.”
