“After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage,” the fashion designer announced on Instagram Monday.
“We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together. Our number one priority has been and will always be our children.”
“We are committed to co-parent our boys and to continue to work together within the many businesses we share,” Zoe, 53, added.
The celebrity stylist requested “privacy” for her family and signed the statement, “with love and gratitude — Rachel & Rodger.”
The estranged couple met while students at George Washington University in 1991 and tied the knot in 1998.
Zoe and Berman, 55, share 13-year-old son Skyler and 11-year-old Kaius.
Ahead of the announcement, the “Rachel Zoe Project” alum took to her Instagram Story on Sunday to share a video of herself getting a tan before enjoying a walk with her sons as they rode their scooter and bike.
She later enjoyed a girls’ night out at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles.
Zoe last shared a snap with her estranged husband on Father’s Day, referring to him as “one of the best.”
“Our boys are the luckiest and we are so grateful for you,” she captioned a photo of Berman with their sons.
In April, the “Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe” star also shared photos from her wedding after recalling the special day on her “Climbing in Heels” podcast.
Zoe and Berman previously opened up about their long-term relationship during an interview with Well + Good in 2017.
The TV personality gushed over showing love with “small gestures,” with Berman adding that Starbucks in the morning is a “true act of love.”
“It’s the little things,” Zoe chimed in. “But I do love jewels.”
The now-exes then explained that not allowing anger to linger has also helped them stay “sane” with each other.
“[We] talk things out,” Zoe said, adding they “don’t really go to the grave with anything.”
“I think we just deal with it. And anyone that knows us really well would say that our recovery rate is the shortest recover rate they’ve ever seen. We recover in three to five minutes. We just kind of forget about it — that’s what happens after a million years together.”
Zoe added their marriage works because they “take care of each other.”
The mom of two explained she knows when Berman is hungry, while he knows to pack her socks on an airplane ride because she forgets and is always cold.
“He’ll always pack an extra pair of little black socks because he knows that I don’t have any,” she shared.
