In a rare interview on his sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast Khloé in Wonderland, the 38-year-old explained that his decision to retreat from the spotlight was rooted in a desire to protect his mental health and emotional well-being.
“I just never felt comfortable in my skin,” Rob admitted during their candid conversation. “I didn’t want to be seen when I wasn’t feeling like myself. It was never about my family or drama—it was about me needing peace.”
“And I choose my own happiness and peace [over] just filming for somebody who doesn’t do anything for me in my personal life.”
Rob rose to fame alongside his famous siblings on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but as the show evolved and his sisters embraced the spotlight, Rob began pulling back. His appearances became infrequent, sparking speculation and concern from fans. Now, he’s clearing the air.
“There’s nothing wrong between any of us,” he emphasized, shutting down rumors of family rifts. “I just needed space to work on myself and feel okay again.”
When Khloé asked if he would ever consider getting back into TV, Rob expressed, “No, of course. I mean, I love filming if it’s positive and if it’s natural and I’m feeling good about myself. Then, of course and I’m comfortable.”
“I like being around my family, so that stuff is good to me,” he continued. “Obviously, I have nothing against it. The reason I don’t is because I’m a homebody and I just choose, like I said, my peace and happiness.”
