‘The Odyssey’ Trailer: Christopher Nolan Unveils Epic New Footage of Cyclops, Evil Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron and More

Christopher Nolan has launched a brand new theatrical trailer for his upcoming epic blockbuster, The Odyssey, offering fresh footage of the cyclops, the war, Charlize Theron, and an evil Robert Pattinson!

Universal Pictures has dropped a new trailer for its upcoming epic The Odyssey from director Christopher Nolan. The trailer was unveiled during Monday night’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The pic stars Matt Damon as Odysseus alongside an all-star cast that includes Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal and John Leguizamo.

In the trailer, we see a much broader swath of Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s epic, featuring our first looks at Theron as Circe and Pattinson as Antinous as he tries to take the kingdom of Ithaca from Odysseus.

The footage reveals the story’s iconic cyclops, who seems to already be holding one of Odysseus’ soldiers in his grip. The trailer also shows more carnage from the battle of Troy; what appears to be an encounter with the Laestrygonians, a cannibalistic race of giants; and even a glimpse of Odysseus’ dog, Argos.

Nolan wrote the screenplay based on Homer’s ancient poem and produced it alongside Emma Thomas under their Syncopy banner. Universal Pictures is distributing the film.
