One of my all-time favorite 80s fantasy films Willow has been revived 30+ years later into a TV series for Disney+, and I couldn't be any more excited.
Lucasfilm unleashed the trailer for Willow upon D23 attendees today, where Warwick Davis reprises his role as Nelwyn sorcerer apprentice Willow Ufgood.
The new Disney+ series is set 20 years later, and centers on an unlikely group of heroes as they embark on a dangerous quest to save their world.
The series’ cast includes Ruby Cruz (“Mare of Easttown”), Erin Kellyman (“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”), Ellie Bamber (“The Serpent”), Tony Revolori (“Spider-Man: No Way Home”), Amar Chadha Patel (“The Third Day”) Dempsey Bryk (“The Birch”), Christian Slater ("Mr Robot") and Joanne Whalley, who reprises her role as Queen Bavmorda's daughter Sorsha.
Willow premieres on Disney+ November 30.
